We are living in an ever-changing landscape with no guarantees. At one moment we were in a pandemic lockdown, then vaccines and now at experiencing the next scale war to world war 2. So much volatility! In addition to this, we have our own day to day grind of work, family, emotional wellbeing, paying bills, etc. At times, it can feel like the burden of the world being carried on one's shoulders. But we are not alone. We may be a singular organism, but we are energy too who are part of a greater network of energy. There is no separateness. This means that we are all interconnected. We are living in the collective consciousness. We are one small piece of consciousness of a much greater consciousness- far greater than what the human mind can comprehend. We have been created from the same infinite source. We are one- one unified consciousness.
Organizations such as the Insitute of Noetic Science, the Intention experiment (Lynne Mctaggart) and Transcendental Meditation including many others have conducted and continue to research on the collective consciousness or the connection between an individual and the external. Modern science has just begun to touch on the understanding of consciousness. So, if you have an inquiring mind like me and love the scientific research aspects, I encourage you to check out those sites. Scientifically there's evidence that a clear intention in a group of people can have a significant impact for example: lowering violence, curing illnesses. And these studies have been replicated across the world by many organizations with similar results. So we are part of a much greater reality than what we can see.
How does this affect us in real life? Have you ever noticed that if you are having a bad experience or day, the bad experiences continue one after the other? Or you can walk into a room full of people and instantly feel the stress and anxiety. That's because others are tapping into your energy and reciprocating it and you are feeling theirs. It can take one person to shift the energy at that moment.
A few days ago when I was out running errands, I was in an exceptional state of beingness. As I met people throughout my day, I greeted them with a smile (they couldn't see my smile because of the mask, but I'm sure they could see it in my eyes) and asked him/her how he/she was doing. Of course, the smiles returned (I could see it as the wrinkles formed on the side of their eyes) and people were chatty with me. My elevated state infected those people and I'm sure that energy shift affected whoever else they came into contact with thereafter. Our internal state of consciousness can directly affect our external reality.
So, if one's energy can have a ripple effect, just imagine taking a group of people (strength in numbers and unified consciousness) with a clear intention of focussing their energy on an event or place. Yes, it will last for that time only, but we can change that to maintain longer periods and eventually permanency. The outside world is a reflection of each person's inner world. The chaos we are experiencing is part of the spiritual awakening, a shift to a higher vibration of consciousness, but also shows us what we are experiencing within. Current systems need to break down to build anew. Similar to our limiting belief systems.
If you desire peace and love in the world, start with yourself. How do you treat yourself? How do you treat others around you? Is there love? Is there compassion? Or is there criticism or jealousy or intimidation or fear? Take responsibility for your own state of beingness, set an intention and live it. Find your peace through the stillness of the mind, love, forgiveness and acceptance. This is how you can contribute to peace in our world.
